How to Dress Like Cerys

Cerys Matthews is well known for her unusual style of dress. Over the past few years, female Catatonia fans have started to imitate this look. If you've never been around Catatonia fans or you aren't too sure about what Cerys wears, this could help you to join in.

Clothes

CHINESE DRESS - Turquoise blue traditional oriental dress.

COWGIRL OUTFIT - All in white, 10 gallon hat, strapless corset with swimsuit style bottom with long tassels, cowgirl boots, jacket ending in tassels halaf-way down your back. Don't worry about getting this exact, we've all got modified versions!

UNUSUAL DRESSES - Anything different and unique. Check out retro clothes shops. If it's different and will turn heads, then Cerys would probably wear it. This applies to any type of clothing.

LEATHER - If you want to go for the FHM look, the leather and PVC is the way forward! Cerys' repertoire included a black PVC catsuit, black trousers and a dark blue corset.

Jewellery

NECKLACES - Cerys is known for being very excessive when it comes to her jewellery. She regulary wears over 10 necklaces at a time. Some of her most well known ones that fans often wear to gigs are:
Letters - A necklace made out of white beads with black letters printed onto them. Fans often make them themselves with band members' names and song titles written in the letters.
Beads - Big chunky coloured beads in long chains. Make it long so it dangles down to your chest or lower. Glittery beads make it look even cooler, trust me on this!

BRACELETS - Cerys always wears bracelets nearly all the way between her wrist and her elbow. They can be absolutely anything. She regularly wears wide wristbands and jangly bangles. Just collect together every bracelet you can find, put 'em all on one arm and you're done!

RINGS - Cerys is known for wearing massive soveriegn rings on every finger and thumb. If you haven't got sovereigns then just wear every ring you can grab and put one on every digit. It looks good and the fans won't care.
